Confessions of a Lane Five Swimmer

I didn't learn a thing from the Fins flipturn clinic, but definitely got my money's worth from the start clinic. I am a little obsessed with starting from the block with the traditional even foot stand. I still need practice to work on my entry, but I have overcome my fear of diving down.
As the New Year's resolution crowd quickly dispersed, Lane 5 has gone back to having 5 or 6 people per lane. Donald has established himself as the lane leader. I usually go 2nd or 3rd.

Philly Fins Postal Swim 2009

Philly Fins Postal Swim 2009

I was scheduled to swim one hour during the Fins Postal Swim 2009. However, an unscheduled swimmer showed up, and I gave him half of my timeslot. I swam about 1500 yards in 30 minutes, basically followed a drill of 50 yards freestyle and 25 yards breaststroke. Dan was my timer :-) I felt great afterward but not sure if I could carry on for 30 more minutes.
