Atonement
What movies do you want to see this holiday season? My choice is an Oscar-baiting tear-jerker called "Atonement". A British romance that spans several decades. Fledgling writer Briony Tallis, as a 13-year-old, irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister's lover of a crime he did not commit. Tears, girls, tears!

No Country for Old Men. I liked this movie for so many reasons. But the thing I liked about it most was the way it makes the point that random events make up so much of our lives. It could all go so horribly wrong, but for most of us it goes pretty well. Who woulda thought such a violent movie set in such a desolate location could have such a deep message? (for me anyway)
